MICROWAVES · JOHANNESBURG REPAIR HELP

Microwave running but not heating?

A working light and rotating plate do not establish why a microwave has stopped heating. Start with a practical repair assessment.

Start with the symptoms.

Describe which functions still work, whether a code appears and whether the appliance stops during operation. Combination ovens and standard microwaves can have different repair scopes.

What to send with your enquiry.

Include the full model, approximate age and whether it is a countertop or fitted unit. Ask about assessment arrangements and compare the quote with a suitable replacement.

Add your suburb or estate, who can meet the technician and whether the appliance is fitted or freestanding. If a model label is hidden, describe the appliance rather than moving it yourself.

A safe boundary.

Never remove a microwave casing. Dangerous voltages can remain inside after unplugging. Stop use for sparking, door damage or a burning smell.

What the assessment should clarify.

An error code or symptom points the conversation in a useful direction, but it does not establish the faulty part. The assessment should explain what work is recommended and whether components are available for the actual model.

Confirm the assessment or call-out charge before booking. Discuss the repair quote, any parts order, further visit and applicable cover before approving work. Send an email enquiry or a WhatsApp message through this website; the team confirms appointments directly.

Repair or replace?

Compare the proposed work with the appliance’s overall condition and the cost of a suitable replacement. Include delivery and fitting in that comparison. For a relatively small fault, an assessment may reveal a practical repair; extensive damage or unavailable parts can change the decision.
