FRIDGES & FREEZERS · JOHANNESBURG REPAIR HELP
Freezer not freezing?
Frozen food softening or a freezer that cannot maintain its temperature needs a diagnosis of the cooling problem.
Start with the symptoms.
Is the fridge section still cold, or are both compartments affected? Note ice patterns, whether the fan can be heard and whether the appliance seems to run continuously. A blocked-airflow fault and a sealed-system problem are different repair paths.
What to send with your enquiry.
Tell us the freezer type, which compartments are affected and when the problem began. If the appliance was recently moved, include that context without assuming it identifies the fault.
Add your suburb or estate, who can meet the technician and whether the appliance is fitted or freestanding. If a model label is hidden, describe the appliance rather than moving it yourself.
A safe boundary.
Arrange suitable alternative storage for temperature-sensitive food. Do not scrape internal ice with sharp tools or open refrigeration pipework.
What the assessment should clarify.
An error code or symptom points the conversation in a useful direction, but it does not establish the faulty part. The assessment should explain what work is recommended and whether components are available for the actual model.
Confirm the assessment or call-out charge before booking. Discuss the repair quote, any parts order, further visit and applicable cover before approving work. Send an email enquiry or a WhatsApp message through this website; the team confirms appointments directly.
Repair or replace?
Compare the proposed work with the appliance’s overall condition and the cost of a suitable replacement. Include delivery and fitting in that comparison. For a relatively small fault, an assessment may reveal a practical repair; extensive damage or unavailable parts can change the decision.
